Casino Guide, a casino guide created in 2017 in the Netherlands, recently created a survey to find out which city in the United States is the best for partying. If you’re planning a celebratory trip across the Atlantic Ocean in the coming months, here are the cities you should prioritize.
What are the criteria for a party town?
The study is based on several criteria, which are considered important points on which we rely when planning a wild night. This mainly includes the number of bars, the average price of drinks, the range of activities offered, the average price of hotels and… the weather. All of these criteria were recorded and reduced to a “party score” of 60 points.
1. Las Vegas with 40.39 out of 60
According to Casino Guide, sin city is best suited to host your festivities. The giant casino built in the middle of the desert hosts some of the biggest clubs in the United States hosting the crème de la crème DJs such as Omnia or Hakkasan. According to the study, the city stands out above all for the variety of options it offers, from casino nights to Cirque du Soleil shows, including a concert at the iconic Sphere. Especially since, on average, the price of accommodation is acceptable (ie 110 USD per night).
2. San Francisco with 37.10 out of 60
San Francisco, the heart of underground culture in the 1960s and 1970s, is still a great party town today. With 34 bars per 100,000 inhabitants, the city is not far behind Las Vegas (51 bars per 100,000 inhabitants), but with a lower average price of drinks ($7). The city is also known for its electro scene and its gigantic multi-room clubs like Monarch.
3. New York with 37.01 out of 60
The Big Apple follows right behind San Francisco. The metropolis of a thousand lights and its more than a thousand bars is ready to offer Jazz evenings and a Drum and Bass night. Culturally, the city is rich in events, each as original and spectacular as the next, from Broadway shows to queer shows. As for the price of accommodation and drinks, that’s a different story, the prices in New York are rather exorbitant.
4. Portland with 36.88 out of 60
Portland, which is more “rustic” and less famous than the three previous cities, promises nights of hipster culture, sipping homebrew in one of the city’s many bars (which have almost as many per head as Las Vegas). Special mentions to Portland’s 134 beautiful natural spots, and especially the large rose gardens, perfect for quiet evenings.
5. Orlando with 35.79 out of 60
The city of the largest of the 12 Disney parks in the world offers more than just attractions. In Orlando, we find the highest concentration of bars in the ranking that have the most affordable drink prices (an average of $6 per beer). In the middle of the state of Florida, Orlando is bathed in a mild climate throughout the year, punctuated by events that ignite the atmosphere, such as the Electronic Daisy Festival, one of the most iconic electro events of the fourth century. a large city in Florida (behind Jacksonville, Tampa and Miami).
