For vacationers and those lucky enough to live near the sea, this warmth promises pleasant and refreshing moments on the beach. Beach weather: sun and heat on the sand
Without water the weather will be particularly hot in the south of France and around the Mediterranean Sea. Metéo-France’s beach forecast in Nice predicts full sun and up to 32°C on the sand during the afternoon. The temperature continues to rise towards Marseille and then towards Narbonne, where the mercury reaches 34°C under the sun. The same weather in Corsica: from Cap Corse to Bonifacio, beach temperatures will approach 35°C. E Returning to the Atlantic coast, the thermometer gradually calms downfrom almost 30 °C in the Landes to 27 °C in the Pays de la Loire. At the tip of Brittany, temperatures will range between 20°C and 22°C. Channel and North Sea beaches will benefit from a milder climate with little cloud cover and temperatures between 20°C and 25°C.

For swimmers, the picture is also very promising, even a bit warm compared to seasonal norms. Scorching temperatures brought in by air from North Africa heat up the Mediterranean basin. Around Nice, Marseille, Narbonne the thermometer is close to 30°C near the edge. In the south-west, the water will oscillate between 20°C and 25°C, while at the tip of Brittany the mercury will drop to 17°C. The water in the canal also settles at a temperature between 15°C and 20°C.
