A fire broke out in a three-story building in the center of Vichy, in Allier, this Friday, April 12. Firefighters were called to the rue de l’Hôtel des Postes at around 5:30 and around fifty men battled the flames to bring the blaze under control, which engulfed the 2nd and 3rd floors.
Eight residents were evacuated, including a 9-month-old baby, and although two residents jumped out of windows, there were no injuries. no serious injuries. Only four people were taken to the hospital center in Vichy, mainly due to smoke inhalation. These residents had previously been gathered in a neighboring pharmacy. All will be relocated.
