Capdenac-Gare. Reception walkways inaugurated

The new Passerelle Reception Building, located at Beau Soleil School, was officially inaugurated on Saturday 23 March in the presence of Prefect Charles Giusti and a large number of dignitaries including elected officials, Caf officials, the Academic Director, teachers, municipal staff…

From September 2020, the Passerelle reception offers early school reception and caters for the specific needs of two-year-olds. Since the beginning of the 2023 school year, the system has taken up residence in new premises allowing immediate proximity to the Beau Soleil Kindergarten.

As the mayor Stéphane Bérard explained, “this is to ensure the transition between early childhood care and the entrance to the small part. The proximity of the two buildings allows synergy between the qualified team of the ‘Welcome Passerelle and the teachers’. He also recalled the challenges of such a project. “Schooling is a solid pillar of our republic and it needs to be strengthened. Without it, it is impossible to ensure the transmission of the values of the republic. Our municipality fully subscribes to these values by offering the entire municipality operational educational, human and financial resources that correspond to our ambitions.

Anne Calvet, president of Caf 12, emphasized the importance of this project. “This specific welcome, although it exists elsewhere, remains innovative and is based on the desire of elected officials to establish a welcome for very young children that sometimes does not exist. We are glad to have supported this project and to see it.” come to fruition. flourish in accordance with the values of Caf”.

Bertrand Cavalerie, union advisor and first deputy, for his part, returned to the history of the construction of the project. “The idea arose in 2018 after the difficulties we encountered at the beginning of the school year. We always refused to close the school and wanted to specialize places, here 2-5 year olds, large sections and CP at Chantefable school and from CE1 to CM2 in Pierre Riols. We wanted to provide something more for families, teachers and especially for children.” Prefect Charles Giusti recalled all the pleasure he had in coming to Capdenac, “if I go regularly, it is because you have beautiful projects that show dynamism of your city”. He continued his speech by emphasizing the importance of this system for “the best support of future French citizens”. He concluded by quoting the Brazilian writer Lyu Luft: “Childhood is the ground on which we will walk all our lives.
