Declaration of income: how to proceed in Loire-Atlantique – France Bleu

This is the start of the campaign to declare revenue in 2023. It continues in Loire-Atlantique until May 30 for online version and until May 21 for the paper version. New this year is the income tax return also in the “impots.gouv” smartphone application. Today, in the department, as in the whole of France, the vast majority of users enter their declaration online. But IT tools are not necessarily suitable for everyone. There are solutions to help them.

Offices throughout the department

By calling the free line 0 809 401 401, an agent from the Department of Public Finance can arrange an appointment with the user either at the tax center or at the nearest France Services reception. There are around thirty of them in Loire-Atlantique, such as in Ancenis, Nozay, Châteaubriant, Vallet or Sainte-Pazanne. There is also an office at the town hall in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu. Finally, the bus goes to different districts such as Nantes-Nord or Bellevue.

During the tax return campaign, the Loire-Atlantique Directorate General of Public Finance is particularly requested to: almost 20,000 calls last year, 30,000 physical receptions and 7,000 meetings (by phone or in person). Therefore, the teams are strengthened throughout this period. There are students in Nantes to welcome the public and provide initial information.

More than 9% of statements on paper

Today, in Loire-Atlantique, less than 9% of declarations are still made on paper. A figure in sharp decline. In 2019 before Covid we were at 25%. Those paper tax returns will start arriving in mailboxes from April 19. Shipments last until the end of the month.
