CM2 schoolchildren from the Joliot-Curie school group in Laroque-d’Olmes, who love football, are delighted. Thierry Pujol, well known in football circles in the Pays d’Olmes and beyond, and with special ties to the town, presented them with five footballs.
In the park of the city castle, the children, accompanied by their teacher Sylvaine Sicre, in the presence of the mayor Patrick Laffont and elected officials, greatly appreciated this gesture by kicking these balloons without delay, advised Thierry Pujol.
Curiously and joyfully, the children also asked many questions about football players’ nutrition before matches, a crucial topic for sports performance. EPS teacher and leisure center director Thomas Tisseyre was also present. He highlighted “the city’s commitment to educational and sports activities”.
This initiative not only provided the necessary equipment to promote football among young people, but also strengthened the links between schools and local sports bodies. There is no doubt that this initiative has fueled the passion of some for football and certainly created an attraction for others.
