Puy-l'Évêque. Intergenerational school trip
Puy-l’Évêque public elementary school this year formalized the intergenerational project implemented since last year in collaboration with Ehpad les Balcons du Lot in Prayssac. As part of this collaboration, all CM1 students, accompanied by some CM2 students, went to the village of Arques on Thursday, March 14. The schoolchildren were accompanied by teacher Charlotte Usan and municipal agent Christine Saraïeva during the visit.
It started with a moment of gastronomic delight: the children were welcomed in the restaurant “La Récréation” and invited to taste delicious dishes.
On another note, the students then participated in an art workshop in the center of the village; there they started painting with ink made from fruits and vegetables! At noon, the nursing home residents joined them and had a picnic with them. Finally, still immersed in the artistic realm, they ended the day with a visit to a museum dedicated to Lot’s resident sculptor, Zadkin.
The school cooperative was responsible for paying the entrance fee, while the students thanked the nursing home for offering them a cooking workshop and for covering the transport costs.
