Who excelled in the Provence-Alpe-Côte d’Azur region? This year, three towns in the Alpes Maritimes won the coveted “Animal Friendly Town” designation.
Several levels are assigned from 1 to 3 legs!
The initiatives to obtain the designation are very diverse. The criteria are numerous, ranging from the creation of an animal brigade, the systematic intervention of the city police in reports of animals in distress, the creation of a management sensitive to the welfare of animals, the organization of days dedicated to the presence of associations, shelters, the possibility of adoption, the installation of bat houses, the establishment of nests for protected species in particular black robin, provision of common land for beekeepers, establishment of caniparks, free walking areas or even reserved swimming pools…
