The Kamiak High School Orchestra in an exceptional free concert at the American Cathedral in Paris

Seattle’s Kamiak High School Orchestra will be in Paris for a special free concert this Wednesday, April 10th at 4pm at the American Cathedral in Paris. Conducted by Patrick Hunninghake and Toby Bathurst, the orchestra will perform works by Debussy, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Gershwin and Count Basie.

Kamiak High School is a school located in the Seattle, Washington area. Kamiak is known throughout the Northwestern United States for its exceptional arts programs. The school has more than 600 students involved in arts programs, including marching band, choir, orchestra, drama, dance and Colorguard.

The Kamiak band program includes three concert bands, two jazz bands, the Kamiak Show Band (our marching band), the Kamiak Winter Percussion Band and the Kamiak Color Guard. Kamiak’s orchestral program has received numerous honors and awards throughout the Northwestern United States and has performed at several national music educator conventions.

In Kamiak High School’s 30 years of existence, the orchestra has only had three directors. The program is currently hosted by Toby Bathurst and Patrick Hunninghake. The students are honored and excited to share their talent with the city of Paris.
