Turnkey travel thanks to artificial intelligence

It is an industry reserved for the knowledgeable until now, but it is gradually gaining ground and should gradually change our lives in all its areas. Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a necessity today and is developing at breakneck speed, finding applications in all areas of daily life. Including where you don’t expect it.

Travel agency in hand

Created in 2017 from the initiative of three young entrepreneurs, Bordeaux startup CibleR has just taken the decisive step of launching the first ChatGPT-based travel companion this year. A free web application designed to enrich the support platform for the tourism sector Tourisme by CA, supported and financed by Crédit Agricole and established three years ago. “On the platform, the user enters criteria for their trips, such as destination, number of people, budget and centers of interest,” explains Fabien Grosyeux, co-founder of CibleR, an impact fintech startup whose original mission was to highlight small local businesses through targeted digital promotional offers.

The AI travel companion is powered in part by data from ChatGPT and Data-Tourisme and enables the creation of fully personalized itineraries through very fine-grained matching with a displayed degree of relevance. Once the itinerary is recommended, the user can share it with those around them, but also refine it thanks to a bot that responds immediately to questions and is capable of in-depth support. Users can also make several types of itineraries according to their criteria. It’s a way to materialize the benefits of AI in the daily lives of travelers while contributing to the local economy.”

A new digital tool accessible to all and allowing users to have a turnkey and 100% personalized itinerary for their travels, this companion offers one to four day itineraries punctuated by restaurants, producers and artisans, activities and leisure or tourist points of interest, no matter where you are located in mainland France and in the French overseas territories. A technological innovation in the service of the user before and during the holiday and available on this platform, which lists 60,000 tourism professionals and receives 20,000 visitors per month.

Travel, but not only that…

The first project realized by AI-Studio, a framework created by CibleR and exclusively dedicated to artificial intelligence, this travel companion is just the beginning. “Part of this application could be useful on other sites, including tourist office sites, for training new internal staff. But above all, the idea is to develop AI almost everywhere within companies, especially to improve their productivity. The goal will be to show them what is generally possible to do and then find a use case that will fit their needs. It’s hard to imagine what will happen, but it will change a lot of things.”, explains the manager. Projects that should begin to be implemented at the end of 2023 and during 2024.
