The 26th edition of the Spring of Poets on the theme “Mercy” found more than one echo, as more than twelve thousand events take place in France and abroad from March 9 to 25.
The Pierre-Guillard school celebrated the event with a grand finale at the Octav cinema in the multimedia center. During the public session, the presentation of the educational project was followed by the presentation of prizes for the school poetry competition and an open podium for poetry readings.
This poetic initiative from the school of Pierre-Guillard was shared with the dormitory of the Pierre Mendès-France school campus (PMF, 6th grade).
The Vicquois educational project was carried out with the help of Nathalie Bayac de Ciron, a poet who will chair the jury. Yves Le Guern will talk about his mission: “For this spring, I wanted the godmother to lean over our cradle and shower us with her charms like a benevolent fairy”.
The jury was chaired by Emmanuelle Michard, director of the Adour-Madiran Intercommunal Media Library in Vic, Laurent Junca, city councillor, Maryse Seguin, professor of literature at PMF, Laurent Junca, municipal councillor, Maryse Seguin, French professor at PMF College and Philippe Lagarde, director of Pierre School Guillard.
After the themes of “Beauty”, “Transience” or “Borders”, this spring of poets was bathed in “grace” in every way.
From quatrain to haiku, from acrostic to sonnet, from tercet to free poetry, the “grace” is there… from writing to reading aloud in front of a jury and an audience, exercises were plural for budding poets.
The winners were presented with diplomas and “Lira” checks.
