We tested Club Med in Punta Cana and here is our opinion

Club Med Punta Cana Restaurant

As a newcomer to the Club Med experience, I was able to discover the opulence of taste offered by a traditional buffet. A veritable marketplace of flavors, Hispaniola Market, one of Club Med Punta Cana’s three restaurants, offers a plethora of dishes highlighting Italian, Asian, and local cuisine, without forgetting simple pleasures like the famous plate of fries.

The fully renovated establishment has everything you need to meet your every need, although in the evening the sweet space is a bit shy compared to the savory space. Conversely, for all fruit lovers such as pineapple, mango or passion fruit: welcome to paradise! At Samana, Club Med’s second, more central restaurant, world cuisines are once again presented buffet-style.

In a completely different atmosphere, Indigo Beach Lounge, ideally located by the sea, keeps its buffet to a minimum to offer an à la carte service with an emphasis on local flavors and seafood specialties. Reservation required in the evening, it is freely accessible in the morning. Thus, in the Dominican Republic, getting up early gets its full meaning. Especially when you can enjoy a very generous avocado toast accompanied by a large omelet, all with a view of the Caribbean Sea. Time then seemed to freeze in the rhythm of the bite. Lovers of sweets in the morning, don’t worry, traditional pain au chocolat, croissants, pancakes or other sweets are of course here, regardless of the restaurant.

Activities of Club Med Punta Cana

Although the motto of the holiday is relaxation, it would be a shame to miss out on the many activities that Club Med Punta Cana has to offer. From tennis to volleyball, pétanque, pickleball, sailing, kayaking and snorkeling, no less than 25 different sports can be practiced at the resort. The Circus School, Club Med’s largest in the world, is also open to all ages, where they can learn or improve the art of juggling and trapeze, as well as tightrope walking.

Pétanque, tennis, circus, but also yoga, spa, hairdresser…

In addition to physical exertion, special attention is paid to physical and mental well-being, with the possibility to try yoga, as well as meditation as part of the Wellness Fusion program. Sessions are held overlooking the sea under a palapa, an open building with a palm frond roof. Enough to recharge your batteries with the sound of waves and birds singing. And as the saying goes, ‘a healthy mind in the body’, the spa, which also overlooks the sea, allows you to prolong your well-being with massages and body and facial treatments. After the reconstruction, manicure, hairdressing and pedicure services are also available. Please note that these are all inclusive supplements that you will have to pay on top of your all inclusive stay.
